Bio
Megan Steinmetz comes to us from the University of New Orleans, where she was the only female baseball DOBO (Director of Baseball Operations) in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana at an NCAA Division I institution. She joined the Privateers in August of 2016 following her graduation from LSU. After four seasons as the marketing & tickets operations manager, and one year as the director of marketing & promotion, Steinmetz was appointed to director of baseball operations in July of 2021.
Steinmetz is no stranger to the baseball program as she had a hands-on role before the move as both the Director of Marketing and Promotions and the Director of Ticketing. She brings a wealth of baseball experience to the table as well, having served as the Operations Assistant with the Acadiana Cane Cutters (2016), a League Intern with the Collegiate Baseball League Europe (2015), a Front Office Intern (Marketing/Sales), again with the Cane Cutters (2013), Assistant General Manager with the Baton Rouge Rougarou (2022) and Operations Assistant with the Cane Cutters again for multiple summers (2023-2025).
The Scott, Louisiana native graduated with a degree in sports administration from LSU in May 2016. While attending LSU, she was a team member at the LSU athletic ticket office for 3.5 years. Steinmetz also interned in marketing/ticketing with the PGA Tour, Collegiate Baseball League Europe and the Texas Collegiate League.
Steinmetz is active in her community, serving as an active member of Kiwanis International for the last nine years. She resides in Lafayette.
