Austin Wilson

Bio

Austin Wilson is an American baseball coach, former collegiate athlete, and player development specialist known for his commitment to helping baseball players reach their highest potential at both the collegiate and professional levels.

Wilson grew up in Hineston, Louisiana, and played college baseball at Louisiana State University Alexandria (LSUA), where he was a contributor to the Generals’ pitching staff and lineup across multiple seasons from 2014 to 2017. As a right-handed pitcher and utility player, he appeared in numerous games throughout his collegiate career and provided value both on the mound and in relief roles while representing his hometown region on the field. During his time at LSUA, Wilson accumulated significant playing experience and helped anchor the team’s pitching depth and overall roster performance.

After completing his collegiate playing career, Wilson transitioned into coaching and athlete development — applying his firsthand experience from college baseball to helping others achieve their goals in the sport. He joined the United Baseball coaching and scouting staff, where he serves as a Coach and Recruiter. In this role, Wilson is deeply involved in the development and advancement of athletes aspiring to collegiate and professional opportunities.

At United Baseball, Wilson regularly attends high school and college games to scout and recruit talent, offering guidance, evaluation, and strategic support to players looking to enhance their skills and pursue scholarships or professional careers. He takes pride in contributing to both the on-field and analytical aspects of player development and is recognized as a valuable asset within the organization’s broader family of coaches and athletes.

In addition to his work with older age groups, Wilson also coaches youth teams within United Baseball’s structure — including serving as a coach for the UBO CENLA Futures 14U team — where he continues developing foundational skills in younger players and fostering their passion for the game.

Across all levels of his career, Austin Wilson has combined his baseball experience, coaching acumen, and commitment to player development to positively impact athletes’ journeys, helping them grow both on and off the field.
